We’d certainly recommend that you buy a sleeve of the new Callaway golf ball range and test what improvements you feel and notice. These three models are all soft, and they’re all fast, but each has a different profile. Whether there’s an emphasis on launch, or spin, or workability, it’s your choice but here are our thoughts:

CHROME SOFT

Our golfers with regular ball speeds or those who want the softest feel on a golf ball will probably prefer the Chrome Soft. The energy transfer to your ball is maximized at impact and the launch profile is higher to create a longer carry. The soft feel and launch profile will add to control on approach and greenside shots.

CHROME TOUR

Our better players and those with faster swing speeds will want the lower spin off the tee to unlock noticeable distance gains with this ball. The extra layer (this is a 4-pce golf ball) adds to feel and along with a softer cover allows more aggressive players to attack flags and every golfer to enjoy more control around the green.

CHROME TOUR X

Another 4-pce golf ball that works especially well for those with faster swing speeds. The core and the lower spin rate will create noticeable distance gains off the tee. Of all the Chrome balls, this one offers better golfers the most workability for extra shot-making options. It also has a cover that is designed to create aggressive greenside spin.

THE CALLAWAY VIEW

The first three minutes of this video offer a very good overview of these golf balls from the head of R&D at Callaway. He explains very clearly what you can expect from each golf ball.
